Both Deceased Students Identified in the Ivy League School Shooting as Law Enforcement Continue Search for Killer.

Both young individuals who were killed in Saturday’s tragic incident in Providence were honored at the start of the week – amid a widespread hunt for their shooter persisted following the freeing by Rhode Island officials of the only individual detained in connection in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was remembered as “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, according to the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which paid tribute to her at a service on Sunday.

She served as vice-president of Brown’s branch of College Republicans of America, as the club stated. The White House press secretary also shared words of sorrow online, saying in part: “Words cannot express. Keeping in mind her family and friends, especially her parents.”

The Second Victim

The other person killed was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his freshman year at the renowned school, his family confirmed.

His name was verified by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He possessed remarkable kindness, humor, and intelligence. He had big dreams of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and assisting patients,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a online post.

The Shooting Incident

Nine more persons were injured in the violent event in the engineering building of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Law enforcement reported by the end of Sunday that a man aged 24 taken into custody in a raid at a lodging about approximately 17 miles from the campus earlier in the day was released from custody.

“There is a killer at large,” said Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Sometimes you head in one direction, and then you must reassess and head another way, and this is precisely what occurred over the last 24 hours or so.”

Ongoing Concerns

Brett Smiley, Brett Smiley, acknowledged: “We know that this is likely to cause new worry for our community”.

The assailant opened fire inside a lecture hall in the engineering building on Saturday, shooting over four dozen bullets from a handgun, a police source informed the Associated Press.

Law enforcement that entered the lodging recovered two firearms and two loaded 30-round magazines when the individual was detained, the news agency reported.

The Wounded Victims

A group leader, Martin Bertao, released remarks from the club. “She was famed for her bold, brave, and kind heart as she worked for her branch and fellow classmates,” he said.

An American diplomat, Jonathan Henick, said he was “deeply saddened” by Umurzokov’s death in a statement. “Our profound condolences go out to the Umurzokov family, loved ones, and fellow students and mourn the loss of his promising future.”
