Netflix Chooses Ideal Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. This character has the ability to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the initial comic and animated series.
The new cast member joins several other new cast members who will portray the group to reality, such as chief Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.
Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
