19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev won his first championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult period, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in specific - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former coach his previous coach.
Presently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden trophy following the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children together, so to win a championship is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's retrieving approach and frequent emotional displays on court had led some to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Moutet, securing four of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.
He saved 4 initial chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
