Three Athletes In Contention for Young Sports Personality Award

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The three finalists have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.
This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.
The event will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
