Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of mass production for a new locally engineered interceptor drone to reinforce its aerial protection systems. The first three producers have started production, with an additional eleven getting ready to establish production lines, the defence ministry announced this past Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Tested in Battlefield Conditions

These UAVs utilize a nationally created system called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Shahed drones. This technology underwent testing in actual battle and proved successful “at night, under jamming and flying low,” officials confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established a target of manufacturing as many as 1,000 defensive drones each day.

Recent Assault on Kyiv Characterized as Deliberate

Moscow's Black Sea port of the port city halted for a period oil exports on Friday – representing 2% of worldwide oil production – following a Ukrainian missile and drone attack. Military commanders in Kyiv stated its forces had launched Neptune cruise missiles and deployed multiple kinds of strike drones in the assault against Novorossiysk “within the framework of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the invading force.”

Ukrainian forces separately struck an oil refinery in the Saratov area and an energy depot in the adjacent Engels region during the night.

The number two energy company Lukoil announced this past Friday it is negotiating with potential buyers concerning its foreign assets following recent restrictions from the UK and the US and failure of an agreement with the Gunvor trading house. “Final arrangements are to be disclosed after conclusive negotiations are completed and required authorizations are secured,” the company stated.

Zelenskyy Plans Diplomatic Trip to Spanish Capital

The Ukrainian leader is scheduled to travel to the Spanish capital, the Spanish capital, on Tuesday to confer with parliament members a day after his visit to Paris, Spanish parliamentary officials announced. The Ukrainian president would meet deputies from all houses of the legislature during his visit, the Spanish statement confirmed.
