Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign
The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to players forming strong views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly selected for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, offering an constant fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds very similar to a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often becoming wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Lion brings to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores karma and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the identical vibe as a Goat, who often always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
